His research utilizes high-resolution fMRI, EEG, and patient studies to uncover the neural mechanisms supporting spatial memory. Dr. Ekstrom's work is highly interdisciplinary, drawing from fields such as virtual reality, neural networks, geography, cognitive science, linguistics, neurology, and neurosurgery.
