Roberta Diaz Brinton, PhD, is the director of the UA Center for Innovation in Brain Science at the University of Arizona Health Sciences, where she leads efforts to develop therapies for Alzheimer’s, the aging female brain, and other neurodegenerative diseases. Her work focuses on accelerating the translation of research into clinical care through multidisciplinary approaches targeting cognitive aging, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and integrative neuroscience. With over 20 years of continuous NIH funding, Dr. Brinton has published more than 160 peer-reviewed articles and is internationally recognized for her research and contributions to translational neuroscience. She has received numerous honors, including the Presidential Citizens Medal, and actively serves on advisory boards, including the NIH Director’s Center for Scientific Review and the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation.
