Theodore P. Trouard
Biomedical Engineering
Theodore P. Trouard, PhD, is a leader in developing MRI technologies for biomedical applications. His lab has created advanced imaging techniques that improve stroke treatment and aid in diagnosing cancer, Alzheimer’s, and Niemann-Pick type C disease. Dr. Trouard’s research also uses mathematical models to simulate water movement in tissues, enhancing understanding of MRI data. He leads an MRI group at the University of Arizona, collaborating with experts worldwide to advance MRI for neurological disease detection and brain aging studies.
