At the BIO5 Brain & Body Imaging Center (BBIC), our mission is to advance the science of the brain through cutting-edge imaging technologies.
Modern brain imaging has transformed what we know about how the brain works, how diseases are detected, and how treatments are developed. BBIC supports the development and application of multi-modal imaging technologies while training the next generation of highly skilled imaging scientists. Our expert faculty and staff, combined with access to world class facilities, provide researchers and clinicians with the tools they need to develop novel imaging technologies and image analysis methods, apply cutting-edge imaging methods to basic and clinical research questions, and ultimately contribute to advancements in the understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of disorders like Alzheimer's disease, cancer, traumatic brain injury, and many more.
